About us

Smartlift UK started as a family run business and has gathered pace over the last 19 years and continued to grow. Keeping our customers best interests in mind, collaborating closely with them is so important to us to understand and meet their unique needs while delivering high quality products.

In January 2019, Robert Byrne joined the Smartlift family, selling from his home based in Kildare, to expand our presence in northern and southern Ireland.

We spent many years securing our position in the Irish Market as a leading supplier of FIBC’s along with a diverse range of flexible packaging options.

We quickly gathered pace and opened our own premises in January 2021. The establishment of our branch has marked a significant milestone for Smartlift Bulk Packaging as a whole, continuing to expand its reach into a new and promising market.

In March 2024 along with our sister company we merged with our long-standing overseas factory Commercial Syn Bags Ltd. Comsyn started as a family run business too, so merging together has been a truly unique collaboration allowing us to grow further, develop and widen our product range while maintaining our original family-run ethos.

We have recently achieved our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, you can download these certificates from the certification dropdown on the navigation bar. Along with seeing some of our UK accreditation too.
